Coach Minear updates a list of local tournaments on our website (see the "Upcoming Tournaments" link on the left side at wyomissingchess.com). Some tournaments are especially suited for youth novices. Please contact assistant coach, USCF chess master, and multiple-time PA state champion Peter Minear with questions at email@example.com.
We make a lot of use of the free Chess.com website which includes great tutorials, videos, computer vs. player, and player vs. player opportunities. We have a group named “Wyomissing Area High School Chess Club” that is only open to the players in our Chess Club making it easy to play each other online. Please encourage your child to use this website and consider upgrading to a paid subscription.
