State Chess Championship
On Mar 3 & 4, 2018, we will be playing in the PA State Chess Championship in Gettysburg. There are divisions suitable for players of ALL AGES & ALL ABILITIES. Contact Coach Minich with questions and see last year's info as examples: Parent Info - Tournament Flyer - Permission slip.

Berks County Chess League Matches
The top five - seven players in Chess Club will represent the school as the official chess team and play other local schools in Berks County Chess League matches in January and February. The matches are held on Tuesdays after school. The schedule is posted here on our website under the link to “Berks Co. League.” Permission slip

Weekend Tournaments
Coach Minear updates a list of local tournaments on our website (see the "Upcoming Tournaments" link on the left side at wyomissingchess.com). Some tournaments are especially suited for youth novices. Please contact assistant coach, USCF chess master, and multiple-time PA state champion Peter Minear with questions at pminear@comcast.net.

Chess.com
We make a lot of use of the free Chess.com website which includes great tutorials, videos, computer vs. player, and player vs. player opportunities. We have a group named “Wyomissing Area High School Chess Club” that is only open to the players in our Chess Club making it easy to play each other online. Review this Chess Club Handbook for using Chess.com.
